Racing in all weathers and conditions, it was clear to see how dedicated he was. His distinct raw talent drew the attention of Clubs looking to build their Junior contingent and Liam was keen on seizing the chance to join a team.
In 2025, he joined West Lothian Wildcats, partnered with Lee Harrison on 500cc engines, competing in the Northern Junior League. Lee had done a fair bit of racing by now, and was familiar with all northern tracks. This put Liam in good stead for his first taste of team riding and pretty soon they were battling the opposition together.
The Wildcat was ever present, home and away. He took a few knocks, but always picked himself up and dusted down in time for the next heat. 'Track Time' was (is) always in the forefront of his mind, and he gladly accepted guest booking with Berwick Bullets, Ashfield Giants and Redcar Cubs, filling his weekends with racing.
Off the track, his next love is being in the pits. Liam can feel at home in any pits and must have achieved spanner bragging rights for miles travelled across the UK, mechanicing with his pals. He has gained a reputation in the Armadale pits for being reliable and handy when needed, so perhaps wasn’t so surprising that the promotion looked to Liam to get them out of a tricky spot when a team space couldn’t be fulfilled.
Liam received the unexpected request – Would he accept a guest place for Edinburgh Monarchs Academy in the National Development League? Let’s just say, he didn’t take long to check his diary and accept. Riding at No. 3 against Iron Steelers - It was a tough call and his greatest challenge to date. 4 heats later = a paid win, refs decision on the line, a retiral and a wee crash ending in a disqualification, but ooh what a night!.
It is still remembered for being an amazing night, and pivotal for the Academy with a big home win, 51 v 39. The added buzz of the crowd cheering his name - Our Boy’s a Superstar.

Late in the season, Liam accepted another NDL guest spot with Middlesborough Bears. Not so memorable, but didn’t matter, the benchmark had been cleared and Liam now believed in himself, that the chances he took would pay off for him, ‘course we all knew he could!
Now we are in the closed season, but Liam hasn’t stopped and in full prep for 2026. He, along with bike are staying fit, gaining strength and building up endurance for the new season ahead. - Summer sportsmen are built in the winter.

Well with 2025 coming to an end I would like to say a massive thank you to all my sponsors that have helped me through my journey this year and everybody that has supported me. Big thank you to Edinburgh Wildcats for having me on their team this year. My first year riding for a team with the Wildcats I have learned so many things off and on the bike getting me ready for more in the future. I have achieved what I was aiming for so I can’t be more grateful.
I have been with the Pijper’s recently getting a taste of what the travelling is like. Been with Theo on the tools helping the boys out learning around the bike. Can be a bit tricky at times.
